The 126th Canton Fair was held in three phases in the exhibition hall of China Import and Export Fair from October 15 to November 4, 2019. There were about 60000 booths in the exhibition and the exhibition area was about 1,185,000 square meters. There were 51 display zones based on 16 categories of commodities in the export exhibition.
The exhibition time and exhibits are as follows:
Phase I: October 15-19
Exhibits: Electronics and household electrical appliances, lighting fixtures, vehicles and parts, machinery, hardware tools, building materials, chemical products, new energy and import display zones.
Phase II: October 23-27
Exhibits: Consumer goods, gifts, home decorations, etc.
Phase III: October 31 - November 4
Exhibits: Textiles & garments, shoes, office bags and leisure products, medicine and health care products, food and import display zone.
Import exhibitions were set up in Phase I and Phase III. The exhibits in Phase I included electronics and household electrical appliances, building materials and hardware tools, mechanical equipment, and the exhibits in Phase III included food and drink, household products, fabrics and home textiles.
China Import and Export Fair, also known as Canton Fair, is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the People's Government of Guangdong Province and organized by China Foreign Trade Center. It is held in Guangzhou in spring and autumn every year. Canton Fair is an important channel for foreign trade of China and an important window for opening up. It plays a very important role in promoting the development of foreign trade of China and promoting economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries, so it is known as “No. 1 Fair in China”. Since its establishment in 1957, Canton Fair has kept the record of the longest history, the largest scale, the largest number of attending purchasers and the widest range of countries, the most complete types of goods and the best trade achievements among fairs in China.
