The raw materials of basalt are selected, crushed, put into a smelting furnace at a high temperature of 1450℃-1600℃, then draw into the continuous fiber through a high-speed drawing machine with a 200-600 hol platinum-rhodium alloy bushing.
The chopped roving is mainly made of continuous basalt fiber through chopping machine, which could replace the commonly used lignin fiber, steel fiber, polyester fiber to mix with asphalt concrete, cement concrete, resin, plastics and rubber. The chopped roving will effectively increase the strength and performance of such mixtures.

3. The water resistance of the asphalt mixture is also improved significantly. All these prolong the lifespan of asphalt pavement to a great extent.
As an ideal substitute of lignin fiber and polyester fiber, basalt fiber could be applied to asphalt mixtures with different gradations, such as AC, SMA, SUP, PA and so on.
2.Cement Concrete Pavement.
The compressive strength, shear strength, flexural strength, impermeability and frost resistance of basalt fiber reinforced cement concrete pavement are increased by 20%, 50%, 50% and 300 freeze-thaw cycles. The impact toughness and fatigue cycle times are increased by two times.
